Student, The New School
The sequencing of the framing questions is important. Examining the questions of essentially how we work and should we work in communities leads well to challenging the structures of partnering, especially as it pertains to the university. Partnership is along side other buzz words, like collaboration and community, words that are always simplified but whose strata is very complex. How to partner is an big question for universities, the assumption seems to be that we (students) should have external partners but there is no methodology to help facilitate that relationship. The result is many one off partnerships but few sustainable ones. We should be looking to these successfully sustained relationships to help build working models to partnering. I’m looking forward to the dialog around these questions.
