The human ecosystem is one that has definitely been shaped by the design of space and place. Unfortunately, as with other landscapes, the uses and needs of the varying communities change with time. The design of our neighborhoods, civic processes, economies, and other systems of urban flow neglect this fact – things change. Our communities are in flux, and thereby we need to devise new means of mitigating and mediating our communities conflicts. Acknowledging the influences of social, technical, material, energy, and power exchanges on our communities has the potential to facilitate these necessary changes in approach. Another world is possible.
