Associate Dean for Civic Engagement, Parsons

I am interested in contributing to an educational community that explores, fosters, challenges, tests, frames, interrogates structures, conventions, economies, beliefs, inequities and human interactions that contribute to the well-being of people and the environments they occupy. Questioning how these aspects of our lives are layered, inflected  and influenced by issues of race, gender, sexuality, health, ability, class and economics are central to an understanding of the value of the social experience found in the education we are striving to establish. In our work with communities, such questioning also tests that education’s value, insightfulness, relevance and capacity to engender enhanced perception, understanding, creativity and analysis.
